I began doing mission work as a teen during my summer breaks in many countries around the world. At the age of 19, while on a two month trip to Botswana, I made the decision to spend my life on the mission field, and more specifically, if the Lord willed, in Africa.
To prepare myself, I chose to direct my studies at an English degree, a degree that would help in any country I would decide to move. The next year I joined a nine month internship with Love Botswana Outreach Mission. While there I met Jon, who was fiercely in love with God and fiercely in love with Africa. Over next year and a half, while I was completing my teaching degree in the United States, Jonathan decided to pursue a relationship with me. Our relationship progressed, and in June of 2008 we were married.
Over the next years it is my desire to offer the love of a mother’s heart to the motherless, the hurting, and the unloved. Paired with that, I want to give my expertise and love for teaching to the children and women of the community, in hopes of equipping them for a better future. I desperately want to offer all that I have, knowing full well all that I will receive from the richness of the Mozambican people.
